Meet Maria – The Lash Expert Behind The Lash Sanctuary

Hi, I’m Maria, the founder of The Lash Sanctuary, and I’ve been in the beauty industry for over six years. My journey into lashing started as a side hustle while I was studying at university and raising my son. I never imagined that it would become my passion and full- time career, but over the years, it has allowed me to build a life of financial independence and stability for both of us.

Growing up in Warrington and living overseas, I was always surrounded by an international lifestyle which helped me get along with people from different backgrounds and all walks of life. My father was a Director at an international language school, and my mother, a highly skilled accountant who has always been an inspiration to me—strong-minded, hardworking, and a true boss lady. 

Watching them both build multiple ventures across a range of sectors instilled a strong entrepreneurial spirit in me. Coming from a business-minded family, I was inspired to create something of my own. With a deep love for beauty, fashion, and makeup, turning my passion into a business has been one of the most rewarding decisions of my life.

The Art Behind Lashing

I’ve always been a perfectionist with an eye for detail and a love for art, and lashing became the perfect outlet for that. It requires patience, precision, and creativity—qualities that I naturally gravitated toward. My goal has always been to create high-quality, bespoke lash sets that are uniquely tailored to each client, ensuring they feel their absolute best.

Beyond just the artistry, I’ve built meaningful friendships through this career. Every lash
appointment is more than just a treatment—it’s a moment of connection, self-care, and even therapy. Meeting incredible women from all walks of life has been inspirational, and I love being part of a space that empowers and uplifts others.

From Lash Artist to Entrepreneur

Before fully committing to my beauty career, I studied International Business at university and spent time living overseas, attending international school. That global experience broadened my perspective and fueled my ambition to build a brand that goes beyond just lashing.
